Directions

Directions From A1 northbound take the A684 turning for Bedale. Continue on A684 through Bedale towards Leyburn and Hawes. Pass through Crakehall and Patrick Brompton and as you leave Patrick Brompton turn right at the crossroads past the church. We are 1 miles along this road on the right with AA and Farmstay signs at lane end. From A1 southbound take the second exit marked for Catterick Garrison which will also be signed for Marne Barracks. Turn left at the end of the slip road and then immediate left to take you over the A1. Take the first right and at the T junction turn left - you are following the signs for Tunstall. Continue along the road, through Tunstall and eventually you will come to another T junction. Turn left here and we are about a mile and a half on the left hand side after the crossroads to Hornby and Arrathorne. If you prefer a slightly more scenic route you can keep straight on after you have crossed across the A1 and head to Hackforth. As you enter the village there is a lodge house and turning on your right signed for Hornby. Take this right and it will take you through the parkland where deer, cattle and bison (yes, bison) roam with Hornby Castle on the skyline to your left. Continue through the village and eventually you will come to a crossroad. Turn left and we are about half a mile on the left hand side. I would not bother with this route in the dark or if you do not like cattle grids. We hope you have a good journey to us and look forward to seeing you soon.
